I advise, represent, and mediate in legally complex areas.
My practice focuses on cases at the intersection of law, business, and relationship dynamics. I take on selected cases only, in fields where I bring many years of experience – both as a lawyer and as a mediator.
Real Estate Law
I assist clients with project developments, real estate transactions, and disputes between co‒owners —including in foreclosure proceedings.
These cases rarely involve only properties—they often involve overcoming crises that also affect personal relationships. I develop solutions that work because they are more suitable for all parties involved than the alternatives.
Inheritance Law
Behind many inheritance disputes lie not only financial expectations or legal questions, but also personal tensions, unresolved issues, and unspoken expectations.
I support clients in matters of estate distribution, compulsory share claims, executorship, and strategic succession planning – with the necessary clarity and a sensitivity to what remains unspoken.
Corporate Law
When tensions arise among shareholders, more than legal arguments are needed: clarity about the parties’ interests, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.
In many cases, mediation is the better choice. I advise on shareholder disputes, management conflicts, the drafting or adjustment of shareholder agreements, as well as exit scenarios. The goal is always to preserve the ability to act – not to end in deadlock.
Banking Law
Disputes with banks are often complex – both legally and economically. I act for both banks and clients, combining an overall perspective with detailed expertise from both sides.
Especially in times of crisis, before or during foreclosure proceedings, dealing with collateral such as land charges and personal guarantees is part of my daily practice. My advice is clear, strategic, and free from illusions.
The five pillars of my work
Resolve complexity. Create clarity. Realize solutions.
Five pillars support all my work—they work together like the five fingers of my hand. The essentials come to the fore and serve as guidelines for viable solutions that work legally, economically, and humanely.
Goal orientation & realization of values
I seek viable solutions that realize my clients' values and serve their lives. Often, the goal is to achieve money and monetary value. However, intangible interests such as understanding, respect, and equality are also very important. My compass is to understand all significant values precisely and then realize them.
Persuasive communication
I start by really listening—and speaking clearly. Because only those who truly see the person behind the issue and are understood themselves can act in a differentiated, targeted, and effective manner—whether in representation or mediation.
Economic understanding
Good advice takes more than just the law into account. I think entrepreneurially, understand asset issues, balance sheet logic, and corporate law structures—and consistently incorporate them into my work. As a trained banker, thinking in terms of liquidity, which is so important, is always a matter of course for me.
Legal excellence
In my teaching positions at LMU Munich and HU Berlin, I teach lawyers how to apply the law “lege artis” and have initiated the non-profit lege artis Academy e.V. for this purpose. Three of my former students completed their second Bavarian state examination as the best in their class and attribute this to their participation in the course. The lege artis concept defines my practice and means, in particular, asking the right questions, getting to the bottom of the facts, and precisely determining the legal standard of review. The result is communicated convincingly. What I teach, I practice—and vice versa.
Creativity
Complex cases require not only clear structures, but also creative approaches. I analyze, abstract, recognize patterns—and find solutions where others get lost in the maze of details. A good idea often makes all the difference—especially in deadlocked situations.
Mediation
Conflicts are often the result of failed communication, which obscures possible solutions.
I also resolve such cases as a mediator. My motto is to transform dissonance into consonance—in a protected space that opens up communication and thus enables meaningful understanding. My goal is to realize all interests involved in such a way that the alternatives behind them recede into the background. Mediation in corporate law, succession planning, and inheritance disputes, combined with the execution of wills where necessary, has proven particularly successful.
